You are the Present and You are Future!
This evening is dedicated to the cutting-edge beauty and the glamour of Oriental Dance as it is. Exploring new and futuristic trend-setter art of dance.
This Opening Gala show is when we launch our evening festivities to the Festival of Festivals!
Don’t miss this opportunity to dance at NYCairo Raks Festival 2023. It is your chance to perform and present your art to your friends, family and peers!
Everyone can perform; National and International, Groups, Intermediates, professionals and teachers are welcome to take the stage!

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

Here are the guidelines for the Participant Show:
Props: All allowed (NO FIRE)
Time: Maximum 3.5 to 4 Minutes MAX

 

  • Due to time restraints, only 25 dance numbers will be accepted, so sign-up today to lock in your spot.
  • Participation is FREE of charge.
  • Cover charge: FREE for audience members.
  • Participants must have signed up to participate in the full package.
  • All styles of dances are allowed. (go crazy if you want the stage is yours)
  • Participants must wear proper dance attire; no nudity of any type will be permitted (under the discretion on the organizers)
  • No personal Videotaping or photography will be permitted, the organizer will have the NYCairo Festival Professional Videotaping / photographers to provide you with footage of your show at a reasonable fee, this fee will be announced later. (Don’t worry it won’t break the bank)
  • Participants will have to fill in one of the Registration forms bellow.

We want you to have fun, enjoy yourself and invite your friends and family to see you dance on stage, this is a learning experience, don’t be afraid and don’t judge yourself. If you wish to be a Participant, please fill one the forms bellow:

ALL ARE WELCOME! IF YOU CAN'T MAKE THE WORKSHOPS BUT WANT TO SUPPORT YOUR FELLOW DANCERS OR YOUR FRIEND OR YOUR FAMILY MEMBER, THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO BE PART OF THE FESTIVAL!

Rules and Regulations

 
1.- Eligibility:
  • Participant must have signed to partake in a Full or 1⁄2 package at the festival
2.- Requirements:
  • Provide the organizers: of your “Legal “ and “stage” names.
  • Provide the organizers with your song MP3 format via email to   [email protected]
  • Participants under the age of 18 must have this form filled and submitted by their parents or guardian authorizing their participation.
  • Participants must provide valid photo identification upon arrival.
3.- General Conduct:
  • Participants must wear a proper dance garment, including under garment.
  • Participants must use cover-up before and after the show.
  • Participants will conduct themselves at all times in a positive and professional manner.
  • The organizers reserve the right to deny any participant the right to dance whose behavior is intrusive or disruptive.
  • Participants agree to abide by all rules & procedures.
